The day aims to raise public awareness about the devastating impact of nuclear weapons and to unite the global community in efforts to prevent further testing. Various countries mark the occasion by organizing conferences, awareness campaigns, and publishing informational materials through media outlets.
UN Chief Urges End to Nuclear Testing
In his message, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on the international community to remember the more than 2,000 nuclear tests conducted in the past and to pledge never to repeat such activities. He emphasized that the world must work together to eliminate nuclear weapons and ensure global security.
